I was always fascinated by the beauty industry. How a simple lipstick or nail polish could completely elevate ones mood and confidence. As a young girl I would go with my Mom for her mani/pedi appointments and I was intrigued by the transformation process and I knew I would join this industry as my career.

In the late 80’s I studied at Seneca College and graduated with a diploma in Cosmetic Retail Management. Eager and ready I immediately acquired a position as a Nail Technician and was fortunate to work in a few of Toronto’s finest Spa’s. It was during those years that I gained valuable technical experience and thankfully developed a loyal clientele.
In 1994 I opened “The Heart of Nails” in Toronto. A salon specializing in natural nail health.
Clients were coming in to repair damage from false overlays or correcting nails that were weak and soft or peeling and splitting. I had a difficult time addressing their needs as there was no nail product on the market that was effective. I decided to develop my own nail treatment that would work.

“The Essential Mix” was created.
A simple 2-step nail care treatment to help rescue my clients nails.
Over the next 20 years the salon became a busy neighbourhood nail haven where hundreds of clients would come to rescue their nails. With the use of our signature products they could easily have healthy natural nails.
Clients would purchase the products and maintain their nails at home.

Heart of Nails grew in popularity while sold on The Shopping Channel and The National Women’s shows across Canada.
