What are the benefits of the Essential Mix?
Your nails are made up of layers of a hardened substance called keratin, a form of protein. Heart of Nails protein is a base coat loaded with hydrolyzed wheat protein. An ingredient that our nails need and recognize. Each coat of protein applied rebuilds the levels back to a healthy state. We lose nutrients by frequent hand washing or exposure to the elements. Building many layers of Heart of Nails protein feeds and they protects them from further abuse. Nail balm is a specially formulated nail moisturizer designed to hydrate your nail plate.
“It’s like a liquid nail”. It is the fine balancing act of thickening the nail plate with Protein and hydrating the nails with Nail Balm that will allow you to achieve beautiful and durable natural nails.
How do I apply the protein and how often?
Apply Heart of Nails clear protein on clean nails as a base coat. Use on it’s own or on top of polish. Repeat application one coat per day for three consecutive days to build a strong protective barrier. Finish each nail by applying protein to the free edges of your nail tips where chipping begins.
How long does it take for the protein to dry?
One coat of protein takes a few minutes to dry. Each coat applied re activates the base coat of protein. In this case the drying time could be a little longer.
How and when should I take off the protein?
Saturate a cotton pad with remover. Remove your protein when it starts to chip or lift. Then start the process again. Never peel off your protein!!!
How do I apply the Hydrating Nail Balm and how often?
Apply Heart of Nails balm underneath the free edges of your nails…even if they are short…This will intensely moisturize the nail bed (the skin under the nails) delivering the product directly to the nail plate and hydrating with essential oils.
“A nail is as healthy as the skin it rests upon”.
When is the best time to apply the Nail Balm?
Apply anytime to hydrate but for best results apply underneath the free edges at bedtime. While you sleep your body is in restorative mode and the product will absorb into the nail bed undisturbed to perform at its best.
Why do my nails peel?
When nails are dehydrated the layers separate and split similar to your hair or skin. The nails are depleted of the oils necessary to keep the layers together.
Why are my nails so soft?
Neglect and under nourishment or exposure to cleaning chemicals They could be lacking in protein levels or are frequently losing nutrients due to over exposure to water.
Why do my nails break at the sides?
Filing or thinning into the sides while shaping nails narrows the nail plate and creates a much more fragile edge that will be prone to splits.
