My Story

As a young girl I was madly in love with hearts. My grandmother would send me trinkets with little red and pink hearts and I was in love. I would (and still do) see them everywhere and later everyone would associate the shape with me in mind. I collected them and painted them on everything. I believe they are what inspired me to be an artist.

My interest in the beauty industry came to me at a young age. I effortlessly shaped, painted and beautified the nails of my girlfriends, and eventually their sisters and mothers as well. I saw that I had the gift of transforming damaged and lifeless nails to the beautiful healthy natural nails that women could easily possess. In the early 1990’s I decided to collaborate my interests of Hearts, Painting and Nails and opened my own nail salon.

The Heart of Nails Salon was created with one mission …

“To improve the look and health of women’s nails without the use of harsh chemicals, UV lights and false overlays”.

Everyday new clients came in with nails that were damaged and in rough condition. Peeling, splitting and breaking. They all had the same problem. Frequent hand washing and lacking nutrients from exposure to harsh elements. I knew I could make a difference but I was limited to the products that were available. I realized that there was a great need. That was what inspired me to develop a nail care product that would save my clients nails. A salon quality product they could easily use at home.

To nourish and seal with targeted nutrients into your nails by using ingredients they know and recognize. A clear Protein infused with Keratin to heal and protect and a Nail Balm to hydrate loaded with essential oils. Client after client witnessed the transformation. As I finished their manicures I would notice how they would admire their nails and get mesmerized by the beauty of them, and smile. I could see how having beautiful healthy nails elevated their spirit, mood and confidence. I realized that I had developed a product that could make a difference not just in the health of their nails but the health of their self image. The results gave them a polished feeling. With each client, every manicure, one nail at a time this transformation gave me a feeling of accomplishment that I wanted to share with everyone.
